Hike in delhi metro fare

Delhi Metro rate hike: The revised rates apply to five lines - Blue, Yellow, Red, Green and Purple - the Delhi Metro. Prices for the Airport Express Line (Orange) remain unchanged. The increase in subway prices in Delhi-NCR will be implemented as of today. Part 2 of the revision of tariffs - Part 1 was in May - will see a maximum increase in tariffs of Rs 10. The revision was recommended by the Fourth Fare Fixation Committee (FFC), a committee set up by the central government. Until yesterday, commuters between two and five kilometers paid Rs 15, while a distance of over 32 kilometers cost Rs 50. As of Tuesday, prices will rise to Rs 20 and Rs 60 respectively. For smart card users, the peak prices are Rs 54 at peak times and Rs 48 at peak times (non-peak hours are defined as "start of tax revenue until 8 am", "noon until 5 pm" and "9 pm until closing of revenue services").
